Srinagar, March 30 (KNO) : Mysterious explosion damaged a private vehicle after it collided with the CRPF convoy vehicle in Banihal area of the Jammu division on Saturday. The police said they have launched investigations as to what triggered the blast while as the driver of the vehicle has gone missing. The incident triggered panic in the area. Officials sources told KNO that the driver of the vehicle has fled from the scene. ‘We are verifying the facts," officials said. They said that the forces were moving in the area when the incident happened. Officials have reached the spot and investigation has been launched as to what triggered the explosion. Meanwhile, CRPF vehicle suffered minor damage in the incident. Talking to KNO, Additional Director General of Police Munir Khan said that investigations have been started to find out actual reason of the blast. Meanwhile, massive manhunt has been launched to trace the driver of the vehicle while as an alert has been sounded at all the entry and exit points. It is pertinent to mention that on February 14, a suicide bomber rammed his vehicle into the CRPF convoy vehicle at Lethpora in Pulwama district leading to the death of 40 CRPF men. Since then forces are on an alert mode.(KNO)
